تفسير رؤية الديك في المنام
الديك في أصل التأويل عبد مملوك أعجمي أو من نسل مملوك وكذلك الدجاج لأنهم عند ابن آدم مثل الأسير لا يطيرون ويكون رب الدار من المماليك كما أن الدجاجة ربة الدار من الخدامات والجواري.
والديك أيضاً يدل على رجل له علو همة وصوت المؤذن والسلطان الذي هو تحت حكم غيره، لأنه مع ضخامته وتاجه – ولحيته وریشه داجن لا يطير فهو مملوك.
لأن نوحاً عليه السلام أدخل الديك والتدرج الى السفينة فلما نضب الماء ولم يأته الإذن من الله تعالى في إخراج من معه من السفينة سأل التدرج أن يأذن له في الخروج ليأتيه بخبر الماء وجعل الديك رهينة عنده.
وقيل : إن الديك ضمنه فخرج وغدر ولم يعد فصار الديك مملوکاً وكان شاطراً طياراً فصار داجئاً، وكان التدرج ألوقاً فصار وحشیاً وهو طائر أكبر من الدجاج أحمر العينين مليح.
وقيل :
إن الديك رجل جلد محارب له أخلاق رديئة يتكلم بكرم حسن بلا منفعة، وهو على كل الأحوال إما مملوك أو من نسل مملوك.
وقيل :
من ذبح دیکا دل على أنه لا يجيب المؤذن وقال بعضهم: من رأى أنه تحول دیگا مات وشیکا والديوك الصغار مماليك أو صبيان أولاد مماليك.
وكذلك الفراريج الإناث أولاد جوار أو عبيد أو وصائف وجماعة الطيور سبى وأموال رقیق قال عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه رأيت كأن دیکا نقرني نقرة أو نقرتين أو قال ثلاثة وقصصتها على أسماء بنت عمیس فقالت يقتلك رجل من العجم المماليك.

جاء رجل إلى أبي عون الضراب فقال : رأيت كأن دیگا كبيرا صاح بباب بيتك هذا فجاء أبو عون إلى ابن سیرین فقص عليه تلك الرؤيا
فقال له ابن سیرین : لئن صدقت رؤياك لتموتن أنت بعد أربعة وثلاثين يوما وكان له خلطاء وندماء على الشراب قال : فرفع ذلك كله وتاب الى الله تعالى من يوم الرؤيا ومات فجأة كما قال ابن سیرین.
فقال لابن سيرين : كيف استخرجت ذلك؟ قال من حساب الجمل لأن الدال بأربعة والياء بعشرة والكاف بعشرين.
